Research Field

Discovery and biosynthesis of microbial natural products for anti-infective and antitumor therapies

Research Interests

Dr. Guo has been engaged in discovery, biosynthesis and synthetic biology of bioactive molecules for anti-infective and antitumor therapies from microorganisms, such as actinomyces. Briefly, based on bioinformatics, molecular genetics, natural products chemistry and biochemistry technical methods, his research focus on genome-driven mining for microbial secondary metabolites with anti-infective or antitumor activities efficiently, biosynthetic mechanism of some important microbial natural products, which will expend the source of drug molecules and provide the guarantees for the sustainable development of new drugs.
