Research Field

Basic research in virology and application of antiviral drugs

Research Interests

Dr. Wang has been engaged in the virus-host interaction and identification of potential antiviral drug targets. In recent years, she has focused on the roles and molecular mechanisms of host lncRNAs in IAV replication. A group of functional lncRNAs were identified in a loss-of-function screen, and further study first revealed the important roles and novel mechanisms of the candidate lncRNAs in IAV replication. These findings help to unravel a complete IAV-lncRNA regulatory network and may open avenues to the development of antiviral therapeutics.
